The simplicity and concreteness of Francis of Assisi and the Encyclical Letter “Laudato Si’” are the points of reference for this project, as well as the guiding principles for all people of good will who want to put into practice the contents of the Pope Francis’ Encyclical and also to inform about the consequences that environmental degradation has on the poor and the weakest.
Fight against indifference and promote at every level training and education of environmental responsibility that will encourage and spread those sustainable behaviors and choices which have an important and direct impact on the care of the environment.
Build the “cities of Francis”. Gift economy as a principle to promote the exchange of experience amongst the cities supporting the project, to help identify and finance projects favor the poorest cities seeking technical and financial support.
“Urbs Franciscana” Foundation Onlus pursues charitable causes.
It has the fundamental aim to establish an apolitical and non-partisan global movement based on the principles of solidarity, justice, equity and participation, and is oriented towards achieving two long-term goals: reducing the impact of climate change and fighting against poverty while respecting human dignity.
